Take a quick (virtual) tour of the House Chamber
Behind the scenes at the Indiana House of Representatives
The 100 members of the Indiana House of Representatives conduct business in the House Chamber during the legislative session. The chamber is the largest room in the Indiana Statehouse and has undergone a number of renovations since its original construction in 1888, including improvements to the desks, wood paneling and - obviously - the technology. Check out the video below for a quick look at the House Chamber (or read on for more details). You can also plan a visit by visiting the Statehouse Tour Office.
The Indiana House of Representatives chamber is on the east side of the Rotunda. At the center of the room is a 1,200 pound chandelier dating back to the 1950s. It is the largest chandelier in the building, yet only the second heaviest, trailing behind the one in the Indiana Supreme Court. The light fixture features 100 bulbs, representing the 100 members of the Indiana House of Representatives.
The room also features "The Spirit of Indiana," a massive mural by Covington artist Eugene Savage that highlights Indiana's journey to statehood, the industries that have helped the state to thrive, and the educational attainment that continues to spark prosperity and innovation.
Finally, above the Speaker's rostrum is a bronze version of the state seal. The seal dates back to the earliest days of the Indiana territory, but it was not formally adopted by the state until the 1960s.
I hope you’ll take the time to come see the House chamber for yourself. And if you do - either solo, with family and friends, or as part of a school group - I hope you’ll let me know, so I can try to come and say hello.
It's been 14 years since I informed the Statehouse that this mural is in direct violation of State Constitutional law promoting pagans polytheism and its pantheon with their Sex/Death Cult of the Divine feminine, aka The Triple goddess of the Crossroads ..in the same Statehouse Chambers that Protestants are banned from speaking the name of Jesus Christ. The reason why somebody changed the name that is stated in all Capital letters the official name of the Mural in the legally binding contract with the State is because the Apotheosis is the ancient ritual of becoming equal to God...the serpents original temptation...an image that speaks the voice if the Serpent by following the females lead and partaking of her tree.
It's time to evict this goddess from our House in accordance to the laws of man and God.
